Instructions for use

Utilisation / Assembling

Before first use:

- Ensure you have read carefully and you have fully understood all instructions before using this product.

- Check that all valves are in the proper position and that they are not blocked by anything that could prevent them work properly. Ensure that the sealing gasket is in the correct position.

- Fill the pressure cooker with water up to ½ of its capacity, close the lid and place it on the stove. Let the water boil until the steam release–pressure regulator valve releases steam, and then remove the pressure cooker from the stove.

- Open the lid only after the pressure cooker depressurize and become cool and clean thoroughly with water and detergent. Then remove the detergent residues by rinsing them with clean water and dry the cooker.

During each use:

- Check that all valves are in the proper position before each use and that they are not blocked by anything that could prevent them work properly. Ensure that the sealing gasket is in the correct position.

- Add at least 250ml of water or other liquid so the required steam can be produced. The maximum total content (liquid and solid) should not exceed 2/3 of the total capacity of the pressure cooker, while for ingredients that swell during cooking the content should not exceed 1/3 of its total capacity.

- Press the side buttons of the knob so the clamps to open and place the lid on the pressure cooker, then release the side buttons so the clamps will fasten on the body. Ensure that the lid is properly locked on the body. Ensure that the operation panel on the top of the lid is aligned with the handles of the body.

- Place the pressure cooker on a stable, flat stove with a size equal to or smaller than the bottom of the pressure cooker. In case of cooking on a gas stove, ensure that the flames do not reach the sides of the body of the pressure cooker.

- Start cooking by setting the power of the stove to the highest level.

- Choose the desired pressure level: Ι) low pressure, 60kPa(±10%) or ΙΙ) high pressure, 100kPa(±10%) 

- When the pressure cooker is heat up, a small amount of steam will be released from the safety valve for the next 2-3 minutes. However, as soon as the internal pressure is increased, the safety valve will rise, the lid will lock, and the steam from the safety valve will stop.

- When the pressure is increased to the level you have chosen, the steam release valve starts to release steam automatically and you must lower the power of the stove. Now start to count the cooking time indicated in the recipe.

- When the required cooking time is completed, turn off the stove, remove the pressure cooker from the stove and proceed to the depressurization process by following one of the following methods.

a) After removing the pressure cooker from the stove, wait for 5-10 minutes, and then turn the steam release–pressure regulator valve to the steam-release position.

b) If you need to speed up the steam release process, place the pressure cooker in the sink, open the tap and let water run over the edge of the lid and at the sides of the pressure cooker's body until the safety valve comes down and then turn the steam release–pressure regulator valve to the steam-release position.

c) Allow the pressure cooker to cool down until the safety valve comes down, and then turn the steam release–pressure regulator valve to the steam-release position.

- After the depressurization is complete and the pressure cooker becomes cool, you can open the lid. With one hand hold the handle of the pressure cooker and with the other hand press the knob's buttons in order to release the clamps and raise the lid. Caution: Do not use force to open the lid.

Warning:

- To prevent burns, keep your hands, face and body away from the pressure regulator valve during steam releasing.

- Always supervise the pressure cooker while it is in use or while it is under pressure.

- If during the cooking process you notice steam coming out of the safety valve or the sealing gasket, immediately turn off the stove, remove the pressure cooker from the stove, look for the cause of the problem and fix it. Ensure that the problem is solved and then you can use the pressure cooker again.


Cleaning and maintenance

Pressure cooker’s body

- Clean thoroughly with water and detergent. Then remove the detergent residues by rinsing them with clean water.

- Dry well with a dish towel and ensure that the pressure cooker is completely dry before storing.

- Do not use metal sponges, wire or harsh cleaners! They could irreparably damage the surface of the pressure cooker!

- The pressure cooker’s body is dishwasher safe (without the lid!)

Sealing gasket

- Remove the sealing gasket from the lid and clean thoroughly with water and detergent after each use.

- Dry it well with a dish towel and place it back on the lid.

Safety valve and steam release–pressure regulator valve

- After each use wash thoroughly the valves to remove possible food residues. Ensure that the pressure regulator valve moves normally without obstruction.

- Ιn case of persistent residues, use a soft wooden item to remove them.

Warning:

- Under no circumstances may the lid of the pressure cooker be soaked in liquid or put into the dishwasher.

- You cannot remove the safety valve on your own.
