45 gr. confectionery butter
50 gr. powdered sugar
220 gr. - 270 gr. flour for all purposes, sifted
½ teaspoon of baking powder
20 ml of brandy
½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
70 gr. roasted chopped almonds
300 gr. powdered sugar for sprinkling
1.In the mixing bowl, beat the butter and the powered sugar for about fifteen minutes until the mixture foams and its volume almost doubles.
2. Slowly add the flour, the baking powder, the brandy, the vanilla to the bucket and knead by hand. Finally add the almonds.
3. Shape the dough into balls of 30 gr. (If you want, you can make them bigger, but they will have to stay longer in the oven to bake).
4. Preheat the oven to 170 °C in air and line a large sheet with greaseproof paper. Place the snow balls on the plate and bake for about 30 minutes.
5. In a large bowl, pour 1/3 of the amount of powered sugar and spread it on the base of the bowl. While the snow balls are hot, place them in the bowl with the powered sugar. Cover them with the rest of the sugar and leave them to cool.
