Utilisation / Assembling
1) Before the first use, clean the surface of the thermometer with a lightly moistened dish cloth and wash the probes with warm water and mild soap, taking care not to wet the surface of the thermometer. Wipe the product well with a dry cloth. Do not use any chemical cleaning agent. Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquid. The product is not dishwasher safe.
2) To attach the probe, align the digital handle with the top of the probe, ensuring that the two grooves on the probe are facing upwards. Push the probe into the handle until you hear it click into place. To remove the probe, push the release button on the back of the device to the ‘open lock’ position and pull out the probe.
3) Turn on the digital meat thermometer by pressing the MODE button. The device will beep and the LCD display will take a few seconds to produce to the main screen. In normal mode, the display will show the current ambient temperature. To switch between oC and oF, press and hold the MODE and MEAT buttons at the same time for 2 seconds until you hear the device beep.
The digital meat thermometer is designed to be used with beef, veal, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey and fish. To select your type of meat, simply press the MEAT button until is displayed. Press the TASTE button to select your cooking preference for the meat (WELL DONE, MEDIUM, MEDIUM RARE, RARE).

Please note that some cooking preferences are not available for some meats as the combination is not recommended for health reasons (for example the chicken, the turkey and the pork should always be cooked well done).
4) To preset a temperature, first set the required type of meat. Next, press the button MODE twice until the current temperature is shown in the display. Then press the MEAT button once. The pre-set temperature will be shown. To change it, press and hold the MODE button until the device makes a sound and the value flashes in the display. Press TASTE to set a higher temperature or MEAT to set a lower temperature (press and hold either button to change the value quickly). Press MODE to store the setting. Finally, press MODE again to return to ‘Normal’ mode.
Once you have set your preferences, stick the thermometer into the meat. Make sure you insert the probe halfway into the thickest part of the meat, making sure it is depth of at least 6mm or 1/4 inch. Keep the probe away from bones and fatty parts of the meat. As soon as the thermometer has reached the minimum temperature in the desired range an alarm will sound and the LCD display will flash. The alarm will stop when the temperature drops below the pre-set temperature again.
The device will automatically switch off if it is not used for 60 seconds.
5) To use the device as a timer, press the MODE button repeatedly until TMR is shown on the LCD display. Now press and hold MODE until the minute display flashes.
To set the required time, press the TASTE button to select a higher value (60 minutes is the maximum) or press the MEAT button to select a lower value (0 minutes is the minimum) (press and hold either button to move through the values more quickly).
Press MODE to store the setting and then press TASTE to start the timer.
When the time has elapsed, an alarm will sound for 60 seconds and the display will flash. Press any button (except of the LIGHT button) to stop the alarm.
To pause the timer part way through, press the TASTE button. Press it again to continue. While the timer is running, you can change the display by pressing the MODE button. The timer will continue to run in the background, and TMR will be displayed on the screen.
6) After each use, clean the product according to the instructions of the 1st step. Remove thoroughly any food residues.
7) Place the protective covers on the probes and store the thermometer in a dry and safe place, not easily accessible to children.
