Utilization / Assembling
Before the first use
1) Ensure you have read carefully and you have fully understood all instructions before using this product.
2) Fill the pressure cooker within ½ cold water, close the lid properly and heat until the steam is fully emitted by the regulator valve. Remove the pressure cooker from the stove and leave it standing closed for about 10 minutes in order to exclude the smell of the new cooker.
3) Open the lid when the pressure cooker cools down, throw away the water and dry the cooker with a cloth.
During each use
1) Check that all valves that are in the proper position before each use and that they are not blocked by anything that could prevent them work properly. Ensure that the sealing gasket is in the correct position.
2) Add at least 1/4L of water or other liquid so the required steam can be produced. The maximum total content (liquid and solid) should not exceed 2/3 of the total capacity of the pressure cooker, while for ingredients that swell during cooking the content should not exceed 1/2 of its total capacity.
3) Ensure that the lid is properly locked on the body. Match the handle of the lid with the handle of the body. Place the lid on top of the body and turn the handle in clockwise direction till the upper handle reaches the body handle. When you hear a sound like ‘’PA’’, that means the lid is properly closed.
Place the pressure cooker on a stable, flat stove with a size equal to or smaller than the bottom of the pressure cooker. In case of cooking on a gas stove, ensure that the flames do not reach the sides of the body of the pressure cooker.
Start cooking by setting the power of the stove to the highest level.
When the pressure cooker is heat up, a small amount of steam will be released from the safety valve which is normal. However, as soon as the internal pressure is increased, the safety valve will rise, the lid will lock, and the steam from the safety valve will stop.
When the pressure is increased to the level you have chosen, the steam release-regulator valve starts to release steam automatically, and you must lower the power of the stove. Now start to count the cooking time indicated in the recipe.
If you need to speed up the steam release process, place the pressure cooker in the sink, open the tap and let water run over the edge of the lid and at the sides of the pressure cooker's body until the safety valve comes down and then turn the steam release–pressure regulator valve to the steam-release position.
After the depressurization is complete and the pressure cooker becomes cool, you can open the lid. With one hand hold the body handle of the pressure cooker and with the other hand puss the upper handle’s button and turn the handle of the lid right. Then, raise the lid.
Caution: Do not use force to open the lid.
Attention
1) Always supervise the pressure cooker while it is in use or while it is under pressure.
2) To prevent burns, keep your hands, face and body away from the pressure regulator valve during steam releasing. Don’t touch the surface of the cooker while in use.
3) If during the cooking process you notice steam coming out of the safety valve or the sealing gasket, immediately turn off the stove, remove the pressure cooker from the stove, look for the cause of the problem and fix it. Ensure that the problem is solved and then you can use the pressure cooker again.
Cleaning
Pressure cooker’s body
1)Clean thoroughly with water and detergent. Then remove the detergent residues by rinsing them with clean water.
2)Dry well with a dish towel and ensure that the pressure cooker is completely dry before storing.
3)Do not use metal sponges, wire or harsh cleaners! They could irreparably damage the surface of the pressure cooker!
4)The pressure cooker’s body is dishwasher safe (without the lid!)
Do not use the pressure cooker for storing food before or after cooking. Ingredients like salt, vinegar, sugar, etc. may corrode the body of the pressure cooker. Wash and dry thoroughly after each use.
Sealing gasket
1) Remove the sealing gasket from the lid and clean thoroughly with water and detergent after each use.
2) Dry it well with a dish towel and place it back on the lid.
It is recommended to replace the sealing gasket after long time of use, depending on the frequency of use of the pressure cooker. If the sealing gasket has been worn out or has become stiff, it must be replaced immediately.
Safety valve and steam release–pressure regulator valve
1) After each use wash thoroughly the valves to remove possible food residues. Ensure that the pressure regulator valve moves normally without obstruction.
2) In case of persistent residues, use a soft wooden item to remove them
3) Check the screws inside the lid if they are tight. If not, tighten them well.
4) Clean the regulator after each use. Unscrew the nut (on the back of the lid) to make sure the vent tube retracts so the regulator can be removed. The safety valve must also be cleaned. It is easy to unscrew from the lid to get cleaned. After the cleaning is finished, screw the safety valve in the original way. Not only clean, but also need to check whether the valve can fall freely or not.
5) Remove the stuck-burned food. Use soft wooden sticks-tools to remove them. Never use metal sharp tools.
