450 gr. frozen potatoes, which have been defrost
1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for coating
200 gr. grated kefalotyri
2 tablespoons flour for all uses
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 large pinch of salt
¼ teaspoon garlic, melted
For the Sauce:
1/4 cup of carob honey
1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Grease a pan well with olive oil.
2. In the mixer, add the potatoes, the olive oil, the kefalotyri, the flour, the garlic powder, the onion powder, the oregano, the salt, the pepper and the melted garlic.
3. Beat until the potatoes are chopped and our ingredients are combined.
4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
5. Take out 1 tablespoon of potatoes from the bowl and shape with your hands until you have a ball, then form into a cylinder and place in the prepared pan. Repeat with the rest of the mixture. Do not worry about the shape, it is not perfect. Finally, brush generously with olive oil. Transfer to the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Turn over with a spatula and bake for another 12 minutes until golden and crispy.
6. In a small bowl, put the carob honey. Serve the carob honey next to it for dipping.
