1200 gr. light milk 1.7% fat
210 gr. granulated sugar
100 gr. fine semolina
35 gr. corn flour
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
zest of 1 lemon
90 gr. butter
For the top:
2 tablespoons water
1 egg
2 tablespoons sugar
To serve:
1 tablespoon honey
a few chopped pistachios
1. Preheat the oven to 180o C.
2. Put the milk, the sugar, the semolina, the corn flour, the eggs, the vanilla extract, the lemon zest in a wok and mix very well with a whisk.
3. When the mixture is combined, place the pot on the fire and stir constantly until the cream thickens. Remove from the heat, add the butter and stir until melted.
4. Put the whole mixture into a 28 cm flan tray with a spatula.
5. Put the water, the egg, the sugar in a bowl and mix well. Spread with a kitchen brush on the surface of the milk pie and bake for 40-45 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven and leave it to cool well for at least 4 hours. Serve with honey and pistachios.
