25 gr. olive oil
½ red onion, finely chopped
½ teaspoon garlic, melted
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon bukovo
30 gr. ouzo
75 gr. basil pesto
salt and pepper
120 gr. whipping cream
250 gr. whole grain pennes
10 gr. salted butter

1. Heat the olive oil in a wok pan. Add the onion, the garlic, the thyme and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add and mix the pesto, the whipping cream, salt and pepper. Lower the heat and cook for a few minutes. Remove ½ cup from the pasta cooking water and add it to the sauce. Then, add the ouzo and cook for another 2 minutes. Keep the wok warm on low heat.
2. At the same time in a pasta pot with salted water that boils, add the pasta and cook according to the instructions on the package.
3. Add the remaining drained pasta and butter to the sauce. Stir until the butter melts.
4. Divide the spaghetti in a bowl, grate as much parmesan as you like and serve with fresh basil leaves.
